Management Philosophy

Helping to enable others to do their best work is what motivates me. In order to to achieve this, I focus on servant leadership and managing with emotional intelligence. My definition of servant leadership is eliminating my self-interest from the decision making process. Instead, focusing on the success of my team and the organization by developing a mutual beneficial relationship. I think the best way to be an effective servant leader is through emotional intelligence. To me, emotional intelligence is being compassionate, asking more questions, respecting individual needs, listening more carefully, and valuing the unique contributions.

Management is the most noble of professions if it’s practiced well. No other occupation offers as many ways to help others learn and grow, take responsibility and be recognized for achievement, and contribute to the success of a team.
